I don't know why this bothers me, but why is it that most writers, when talking about our home planet, don't capitalize the word 'Earth'. When we speak of Mars, we don't write 'mars', and the same goes for the other planets. Even the Sun gets capitalized, yet we treat Mother Earth like a low class planet, not even worthy of a capital in her name.
